Introduction:
American contemporary visual artist, Don Michael Swart-zen-tru-ber (b. 1966
Seaford, Delaware) creates carnivalesque images that manifest from cultural
critique, autobiography and spiritual devotion. He creates this enigmatic
iconography in the historical Billy Sunday community of Winona Lake, central
to Chicago, Detroit, and Indianapolis.

86 AMC THEATERS, Rockaway, NJ. Usher. A 12-screen cinema house.
85-86 Chauffeur for Amish. While in secondary and art school he chauffeured
Amish families during the summer. One trip was for a full month, from coast
to coast. Most trips where to remote communities, i.e., Jamesport, Missouri
and Marian, Kentucky.
66-85 Formative Years: He grew up in a Mennonite home
and attended Greenwood Mennonite School (yearbook Editor) and Church in
Delaware. PERSONAL:
Don married Christine Damer in 1994 and their family was completed with
sons Drake and Keller. TRAVEL:
Travel in Peru, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Hiking and wilderness
camping in Banff, Canada and Colorado.
02 Fulbright Teacher Exchange. Interviewed with Fulbright and the
State Department and assigned to Latymer in London, England. Was fiscally
deterred and declined.
